- Auto-check. Turn it on at the foot of the Check menu and every letter is checked as you type it - a wrong one is struck through straight away. It stays on until you turn it off.
- Streak counts, but solve time won't. A solve with auto-check still adds to your streak, but its time is left out of the day's solve statistics.

- Sign in with Google. The sign-in card has a Continue with Google button. If you already have a Crossee account under the same email address, Google signs you into that account - your streak and your progress stay where they are.
- A link that fails now says so. If a verification or password reset link has expired, the sign-in card tells you, instead of the page quietly showing the puzzle as if nothing had happened.
- A streak lives on your device. From the eighth day of a run, a small bell asks whether you would like an account, so the streak follows you to another phone. Not now is a fine answer - it asks again at the next milestone, and not before.
- The solvers' WhatsApp group. It is in the cup menu on the keyboard now, as well as on the finish card.

A bigger one than usual.
- A new share card. It tells the story of how you went about the grid. Your first word and your last are marked with cups, your fastest with a bolt and your slowest with a tortoise. The colours show the solve speed - light means fast, dark means slow. To keep things honest, the card also shows any Checks you used - be it a single letter, a word, or the full grid. It names the clues, never the answers, so it gives nothing away while the puzzle is live.
- Solve times on laptops and phones. On a laptop, the entire set of clues will not be visible - a clue is shown only when you come to it, and the rest keep their number and length until their turn. A phone has only ever shown one clue at a time, so this is a step towards evening out the solver experience across devices and keeping the times comparable. It still may not be perfect - so feedback is welcome. If you would rather have every clue at once, there is a Show all clues button, and your solve time is then no longer part of the day's solve statistics.
- Tighter streaks. Going forward, a solve adds to your streak only if the puzzle was solved on the day it was published - from when a puzzle appears at 5 AM to when the next one does. Yesterday's puzzle solved today is still a solve, and still yours; it just does not keep the run going. Your existing streaks remain as they are.
- Revisit a finished puzzle. After completing a puzzle, you can go back to it and key through the clues and the grid - tap a square, or use the arrows and Tab, and each word's clue comes up as it did while you were solving. The letters stay where they are and the clock stays stopped.

- Your solve map now marks your quickest clue with a bolt in each of its squares, and the shared picture names it and repeats the clue. Only a clue you closed yourself counts - one the crossings filled in for you, or a reveal touched, is nobody's quickest.
- The map is the finish card now, always in view, with your time on it. The “View map” switch is gone; the links moved under the map.

- Prefer to swipe? Open the ⋯ menu and switch “Change direction” to Swipe. Then drag along a row or column to pick its clue, instead of tapping the cell twice. Tap stays the default. Thanks to the solver who suggested it.

- Share a map of your solve after you've cracked the crossword. Clues are dots, the size denoting how long it took you to solve it. The five that took you longest are marked on the map itself. Everyone's solve map is unique!
- Phones share the picture; on a desktop, the share still copies the text.

- Some changes behind the scenes may have cost solvers who are not signed in their streak - sorry about that. Signing in keeps your streak and solves safe, across devices and across mishaps.
- You can now rate the day's puzzle - five cups, right on the finish card.
- The finish card got tidier: your time big and plain, and quick ways to reach r/crossee or write in.

- On phones, Check and Reveal moved down beside the clue bar - closer to your thumb - and the ✓ key became a little cup with a menu: add Crossee to your home screen, and an About card.
- New-puzzle notifications: opt in from the finish card and the morning puzzle pings you at 5 AM.

- Crossee installs as a web app: a one-time tip shows how, with directions for the browser in your hand. On Android Chrome the button installs it outright.

- Finishing is instant. The pause between the last letter and the celebration - a few seconds on some phones - is gone; the chime and the wave land with the keystroke.
- Reopening a half-done puzzle starts the cursor at the first empty square, not square one.

- Your streak is now a coffee-ring stamp on the finish card - the mark a mug leaves on the morning paper - with your best run right under it.
- The finish card slimmed down: a link to the archive beside “View solved puzzle”, and a link to r/crossee, the community.
- The solve celebration ripples out from the letter you finished on.
- The cursor got smarter: the letter that completes a word jumps to the next empty square, and finishing the last across clue drops you into the downs.

- Reveal is open to everyone - no key. A revealed puzzle simply does not count towards your streak.
- Solving is smoother: the clue you are on shows above the grid, every clue carries its answer length, typing skips letters already in place, and a ✓ key on the phone keyboard checks your grid.
- A Share button on the finish card - send your time (and streak) to the group chat.
- Streaks arrived: days in a row, counting back, with your best run remembered.
- 594 new words joined the list, from Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, Bengali, Odia, Assamese, Marathi, Gujarati, Punjabi, Konkani and the Northeast.
